Martin Contracting has been a Biosphere Charter Member since 2015 and has been building in the Parry Sound region since 2004. We are general contractors specializing in custom cottages with an emphasis on timber and log work. Our craftsman take the project from foundation through to final finish, enabling tight quality control through all stages of construction.
We are conscious of the effect construction can have on the environment. As such we take great care to look after, preserve and do no harm to the natural beauty we are privileged to work in. Since 2013 we’ve joined forces with Ballentine Construction in Pointe au Baril. We design and build complete projects, many of which are island based and solar powered. We also offer renovation services that concentrate on preserving the past. We have had the opportunity to work on several historic and iconic PAB cottages such as “Ardshona”, “Minniehaha” and “Pointe au Rocks”. In this context the planned salvage, reuse and repurpose of building materials allowed us to bring new vitality to ageing structures while maintaining the integrity of the original building style.
