Sans Souci and Copperhead Association (SSCA) was founded in 1903.  It is a vibrant cottagers organization serving over 450 cottage families in the area.   Its community centre on Frying Pan Island has extensive dockage, a dock-house and a school house. Plans are underway to build a new community centre on the property. There are a full range of activities for members: the annual regatta, tennis courts, yoga, bridge, book club, day camp and Church on the Rock.

SSCA partners with GB5 organizations to educate members and advocate for sustaining the unique environment and GBBR has worked directly with the SSCA Environment Committee. With support from the Township of the Archipelago, GBBR has offered Kids in the Biosphere; presented educational lectures at the annual Environment Day; and lead interpretative Family Hikes. Click here for more info and look for the annual membership directory published by SSCA.
